Affirming
In 2017, Knox United Church became a member of Affirm United and this Interest Group continues to further strengthen the congregation’s understanding of all areas of inclusion. Two special services – P.I.E. Sunday in March (Public, Intentional, Explicit) and Pride Sunday in June are specifically conducted by them.
Affirming Ministry Mission Statement:
At Knox United Church, we celebrate diversity. In God's world we are diverse in gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, culture, age, physical ability, religious perspective, and economic status. Jesus met people whatever they were in their journey. Relationship changes us. Knox is an involving community of faith that seeks to intentionally welcome new perspectives and leadership. We celebrate the richness, change and growth this brings to our journey together.
